Motherhood is better together.
Come exactly as you are. Meet local mums in the same season, learn from people you can trust and find the kind of support that doesn’t end when the session does.
Sometimes you just need other mums who get it.
Motherhood can be beautiful and still feel like a lot.
You can adore your baby and still miss adult conversation. You can be surrounded by advice and still wish you had someone to say, “Mine does that too.”
Raising Mamas is somewhere you can arrive exactly as you are. Late, tired, feeding your baby, losing your train of thought and wondering whether anybody else feels the same way.
Chances are, someone does.
That’s the magic of finding your people.
So, what actually happens at a Raising Mamas group??
There’s no perfect way to arrive at a Raising Mamas group.
You might walk in with your baby asleep in the capsule, feeding before you’ve even put your bag down or crying because getting out of the house was harder than expected. You might feel nervous because you don’t know anyone yet.
We’ll show you where to put the pram, help you find a spot on the mat and introduce you to the other mums. Then you can take a breath.
You’ve made it.
What the session feels like
Each week, you’ll come back to the same small group of mums and babies, with a Raising Mamas facilitator there to gently guide the session and help everyone feel included.
There’s time to settle in, check in with each other and talk honestly about how the week has been. Some conversations are thoughtful. Some are practical. Some begin with a question about baby sleep and end with everyone laughing about something completely unrelated.
Your baby can feed, sleep, cry, wriggle, roll around or need your full attention. You never need to apologise or leave because your baby is being a baby.
Learning without the lecture
Many weeks, a trusted local practitioner joins the group for a relaxed, practical conversation about something relevant to your stage of motherhood.
You might explore feeding, sleep, pelvic health, baby development, starting solids, communication, maternal wellbeing or navigating the changes that come with becoming a mum.
It isn’t a formal class, and you’re never expected to sit silently while someone talks at you. There’s room to ask questions, share what has worked for you and take away what feels useful for your family.
It’s not only about the weekly topic
The practitioner might be what’s written on the schedule, but it’s often the little moments around it that matter most.
Someone remembering that your baby had a rough night. Another mum saving you a place beside her. A conversation continuing in the group chat afterwards. Making plans to grab something to eat or meet at the park before next week.
That’s how a room full of mums who didn’t know each other slowly starts to feel like a village.
Come for the support, stay for the people you meet along the way.
